Kitchen Door is thrilled to announce the return of Chef Todd Humphries’ famous “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes” celebration this August. The month-long event will feature tomato-centric specials for brunch, lunch, and dinner, along with creative tomato-based drink offerings.
“Tomatoes are at their peak in August, bursting with flavor and variety,” said Chef Humphries. “We’re excited to showcase the incredible bounty from our local farmers and offer guests both comfort food classics and innovative tomato dishes throughout the month.”
Highlights of the August celebration include:
– Tomato-themed specials available in August for brunch, lunch, and dinner
– Creative tomato cocktails and other drink specials all month long
– Local Tomato Farmer Andrew Chat and Tasting on August 10th, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
– Tomato and Miner Family Dinner on August 24th, 7 p.m., featuring a multi-course tomato-focused menu paired with Miner wines
The “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes” celebration harkens back to Chef Humphries’ days at the Michelin-starred Martini House in St. Helena. Now at Kitchen Door, he’s reviving this popular event with a mix of classic favorites and new creations.
Local fan favorite, Farmer Andrew of Lone Oak Farms, will be at Kitchen Door on August 10th from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. for a fun and educational tomato tasting event. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about different tomato varieties and enjoy a delicious tomato tasting experience. There will be plenty of tomatoes for everyone to enjoy!
On August 24, Chef Todd Humphries, and Vintner Dave Miner of Miner Family Winery host a special limited-seating tomato prix-fixe dinner and wine pairing. The menu for the evening includes:
