“Fiat Lux” is a series of performances by audio-visual artists working with light, sound, and movement to create immersive experiences, taking place at di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art’s downtown satellite, di Rosa Downtown.

Kicking off during the Napa Lighted Arts Festival, Lance Gordon and his acclaimed Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show will transform First Street’s Artist’s Alley with vibrant, kaleidoscopic visuals that immerse attendees in a dynamic interplay of color and movement.

Meet the Artist: “Dahlia” by @studiolesec

“Dahlia” is a continuation of Jacques’ flower series which reconceptualizes organic form through the transformative quality of LED light.

The petals of the flower are rendered in perforated aluminum and become translucent when struck by LED light source. The layered overlap of each petal encourages the transfer of color from foreground to background and visa-versa, dissolving figuration at times and reinforcing it at others.

“Dahlia” will be featured at @firststreetnapa just outside of @rizaplants and @cestlapaire during this year’s #napalightedartfestival and we are so thankful for partnering with @jacqueslesec once again!
