In partnership with First Street Napa, di Rosa presents “Fiat Lux” at di Rosa Downtown: a series of performances by audio-visual artists working with light, sound, and movement to create immersive experiences. On Friday, March 28, Napa sound artist Joe Shoemaker will perform at First Street’s Artist’s Alley, utilizing samples, field recordings, and electronic instruments to create playful, colorful compositions.

About the Artist:
Joe Shoemaker is a sound artist from Napa CA. His music takes inspiration from artists such as The Books, Dan Deacon, Daniel Lanois, and Brian Eno. He combines electronic instruments with acoustic textures to create playful, nostalgic, and colorful sound. He works in Napa as a music therapist and enjoys activating the senses through sound.
